Who we are

ProjectMeasure publishes free home-project calculators at https://project-measures.com. Privacy requests for this website go to hello@project-measures.com. Mail can also be sent to the address below. This page describes the current site. It is the notice to use for privacy questions about project-measures.com.

Calculator inputs stay on your device

There are no accounts and no measurement form that sends your numbers to us. The values you type and the results you see are processed in your browser. They are not stored on our server and they are not part of the page request.

Server logs

When your browser requests a page, the hosting provider writes a server log. An entry can include the IP address, date and time, requested URL, referring URL, and browser type. Those logs are used to deliver the site, keep it secure, diagnose errors, and prevent abuse. They are not used to build advertising profiles.

The host keeps logs for as long as they are needed to operate and secure the site, and may keep a particular record longer when it is required to investigate abuse or to meet a legal duty. Log data is processed on the hosting provider's servers, which may be outside your state or country.

Cookies and similar technologies

This site uses Google Analytics, measurement ID G-M7VJDD1BRG, to understand which pages are visited. When a page loads, Google may set analytics cookies and receive the page address, browser and device details, and a general location derived from the IP address. The numbers you type into a calculator stay in your browser and are not sent to Google with the calculation. This site does not load advertising cookies or advertising pixels.

You can block or delete analytics cookies in your browser. Google also offers an Analytics opt-out add-on. If advertising tags are added later, this policy will be updated first, and those tags will not run for visitors who must be asked until a consent choice is in place.

Email you send us

If you email us, we use your address and the message to reply and to look into the issue you raised. We keep that correspondence until the question is resolved and for a short period afterward in case you follow up. We delete it after that unless we need it to document a correction or a legal claim.

We do not ask for a postal address or payment details. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Children

The calculators are written for adults planning home projects. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, email us and we will delete it.

Your choices and rights

You can use the calculators without creating an account. You may email us to ask what log or correspondence information we can connect to you, to correct it, or to ask us to delete it. Depending on where you live, including California and other US states, and the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, you may also have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of personal information, to appeal a refusal, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information. Visitors in the UK or EEA may also complain to their local data protection authority.

We will not treat you differently for making a request. We may ask you to confirm that the request comes from the person it concerns. We respond within the time required by the law that applies to the request.

Where UK or EU law applies

Server logs are processed because they are needed to operate and secure the site. Email you send us is processed to answer the request you made. Google Analytics page-view data is processed to understand how the site is used. You can object to processing based on those interests by emailing us, and you can stop Analytics cookies with the browser controls described above. You also have the rights described above.

Updates will be posted on this page with a new effective date. The date at the top of the page is the version in effect.
